The design of the Polaroid S70 folding camera cost, as far as we know, 750 million dollars and included the introduction of One Step instant photography, which did not require development and printing by a professional photographer.
The SX-70 acronym comes from the project number assigned to the original self-developing film machine in 1943.
Concretely, it was a pocket-sized single-lens reflex camera, but it was expensive, with a starting retail price that wasn't exactly affordable for all consumers.
