BOWLING

The roots of bowling are thousands of years old and date back to ancient Egypt. Archaeological research has made it possible to find the remains of one of the first playing balls, dating back to 3200 BC, made of cereals, covered with leather and held together with various types of ropes. Other research then revealed the use of further porcelain balls, signaling an evolution of the game that continues to this day: the balls in question, unlike the less smooth ones made of cereals, could in fact slide on the playing field, instead of being thrown directly at the pins.
