BURGER

The hamburger is a padded sandwich, usually consisting of a medallion of minced meat, typically beef, placed inside a bun with sesame seeds or a normal bun. Burgers are often served with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, bacon or chili peppers, and condiments such as ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, relish or a special sauce, often a variation of Thousand Island sauce. A hamburger topped with cheese is called a "cheeseburger". Among the best-known fast food dishes in the world, its origins are claimed by the United States and Germany.
