HEADPHONES

Audio headphones were born around 1910 thanks to Nathaniel Baldwin, an American Mormon, engineer and physics teacher, who was looking for a system capable of amplifying the speaker's voice during religious services. His research led him to conceive a first prototype of a compressed air amplifier which he then perfected by creating what we now commonly call "headphones". Only in 1937 did we begin to see private use for headphones, thanks to the launch of the DT-48 model created by the German company Beyerdynamic. A few years later, in 1947, AKG created its model the K120s.
