The history of the Moka begins in 1933, when Alfonso Bialetti, a well-known Italian entrepreneur, had the idea that would revolutionize the way of making coffee. It seems that the good "Bialetti", observing his wife doing the laundry with the lisciveuse, a washing machine equipped with a boiler that exploited the boiling of water, had an enlightenment that led to the creation of the fantastic coffee moka...

Great success for the machine that makes espresso like at the bar, which for the first ten years was produced in an artisanal way, until the 1940s. Initially, in fact, Bialetti produced around 10 thousand coffee pots a year and sold them personally at fairs and markets.
