The Panton Chair is a great classic in the history of designer furniture. Designed by Verner Panton in 1959, this chair was developed for series production in collaboration with Vitra (1967). It was the first all-plastic chair, made from a single piece with a cantilevered design. Since its launch on the market it has gone through various production phases. Vitra and Verner Panton collaborated closely to develop a new polypropylene version, which was launched in 1999.
The comfort of this chair is the result of the combination of the cantilevered structure with an anthropomorphic design and a slightly flexible material. It can be used alone or in a group and is suitable for indoors and outdoors. The Panton Chair has received numerous international design awards and is present in the collections of many important museums. Thanks to her expressiveness she became an icon of the 20th century.
