SALT & PEPPER

Called "The divine substance" by Homer and known by the Romans as "white gold", salt has always played a fundamental role in people's lives, not only in nutrition, but also in economic and social relationships between cultures and villages. Pepper is a spice known already in ancient times, where it was used for its properties as a real medicine while its use as a spice dates back to prehistory, obviously on the Indian continent.
