In the thirteenth century Marco Polo brought and distributed spaghetti to Italy. The Venetian explorer was struck by the flavor of spaghetti with prawns, he was fascinated by it and tried to spread it in Venice. From "spahi", the original term, we moved on to the Italian "spaghi" and the definitive term of endearment spaghetti. Therefore, although spaghetti was not born in Italy, the dried pasta par excellence, a symbol of our people, took off thanks to the skill of Italians in the kitchen.
In literature it is Boccaccio, in his Decameron, who testifies for the first time the existence of spaghetti, when he says he was struck by the flavor of "rolled macaroni", during a stay in our Naples.
