The Poltrona Frau Vanity Fair armchair is the replica of the famous 904 model from the 1930 catalogue. Created by the hands of Renzo Frau, an upholsterer's shop boy from Turin in Italy, today Vanity Fair has become the archetype par excellence of the modern armchair and known in all over the world for the typical rounded shape and the long row of leather-covered nails that finish the backrest and armrests. The padding uses both hand-shaped vegetable hair and rubberized horsehair and the seat cushion is in goose down. The seat, backrest and armrests are sprung using hand-tied biconical steel springs resting on jute straps.
