WHEELS

The wheels, also called wheels, are part of those design formats which, together with radiators and hands, characterized the production of pasta at the beginning of the twentieth century, drawing inspiration from the world of mechanics in the years dominated by the artistic movement of futurism which celebrates not only technological progress but also the movement. The name is representative of the shape they want to portray: the wheels of a wagon. The three parts that make up the wheel, the two circular shapes and the spokes, have different thicknesses and it is precisely this irregularity that is pleasant when chewing.

It is difficult to attribute the regional origin of this extravagant format. To date, the birth of wheel pasta is not associated with a defined area.
